Project Chengdu (2008/05/16)

Dear Partners in missions,

WK just came back from a week-long conference in Thailand. It was lots of 'strategical planning'... and, we heard of many great things that God has done in East Asia in 2007, more than 41 million heard the gospel and over 4.7 million indicated decisions for Christ.
In Japan, too, for the past many years, number of churches has been declining to about 7,000. But, in 2007, there are now, over 8,000 churches in Japan!

As we rejoice, let's continue to trust Him for greater things. I believe that you are feeling the same way as we do about what's happening in Myammar and China. Here's an opportunity to participate in the relief work in helping the earthquake victims in ChengDu. Several towns had been wiped out in the earthquake, at least 40,000 lives have been lost (numbers are escalating). Besides praying for these victims, we hope to do more….SCCC will be working closely with the medical teams that are sent out from Medical Missions Clinic. The following are ways that you could help:
Be involved yourself, mobilizing students, church members, etc for the following work.
